Starting point | You can reach the Brunni mountain hut by cableway or chairlift from Engelberg via Ristis. Then follow the marked mountain path (“Brunni Trail”) in the direction of the Rugghubel mountain hut for about 450 metres. The starting point is then to your left as you go uphill (1,880 metres a.s.l.). |

Details | Please use the marked path to reach the starting point (white-and-red mountain hike path). Then use the steel cables, footholds and two suspension bridges to get to Schonegg. The only way to descend from the summit is to take the mountain path (marked white and blue) – not the via ferrata! |

Equipment | A via ferrata set (climbing harness, safety rope, braking device and helmet) and suitable mountain boots are essential. Equipment can be hired from the Brunni cableways directly at the Härzlisee (Kräuterhütte). Minimum weight: 40 kg per person. |
