On the north-west side of the Bettlerstock two new routes were created by local mountain guides in spring 2016.
The climbing routes are both leading to the imposing Bettlerstock; over three towers towards the fourth, the Bettlerstock. The routes are clear, well equiped and suitable for beginners in multi-pitch climbing even for families with children.
The two routes "Kletterlernpfad" and "Mungg" run parallel over the towers and can be climbed by two rope-groups at the same time.
For via-ferrata-people who already done all the via ferratas in Engelberg, these routes are great to develop muti-pitch and sportclimbing knowledge. We recommend a climbing course.
The eastern ascent and descent to / from the betlerstock is marked. The signposts are still missing. The juntion can be found as follow: From the Härzlisee follow the Via Ferrata route Rigidalstock (parallel to the ski lift) and follow the signs to the left at the cattle trough.
